The Access Layer consists of multiple modules that are represented as separate Maven modules, resulting in one JAR file per module. Every module has an own project report page inside this project documentation site. A full list of module sites can be found inside the menu on the left hand side.
Some modules define major functionality like "SOAP/REST" APIs, persistence layer abstraction, etc. . These modules have more detailed documentations sites and are good starting points to get more in-depth knowledge on the Access Layer internals or usage.
The following map shows the module full hierachy including the module artifact / JAR filenames used to deploy modules. (Note: The filename of a module JAR is built using the expression: "gacl-$artifact.jar")
